A milestone

Yesterday, we opened Pingboard to the public! This is a huge milestone in our story, a story that many of you have been part of from the beginning.

Over the past few months, we’ve invited companies from our waiting list to give Pingboard a try and learned a lot from each of you. In fact, many improvements and new features have come directly from our customers. Thank you for your help and feedback. It’s been awesome working with you to make Pingboard better.

Apps & Add-ons

Now there’s a single place to browse the apps and integrations that make Pingboard more useful and more fun, too! There are also a few hints about what’s coming. The Android app is looking great and will soon be ready for beta testers. Also nearing completion is our integration with HipChat. Once you turn it on, your employees can choose to receive Pingboard pings directly in HipChat.

Flash Card Game

Flash Card GameOn the apps page is a fun game we built during a recent hackathon. It’s an addictive way to learn the faces in your company, especially when you’re competing for the high score. We have some clever twists in mind for this, but it’s a great example of what anyone can build on the Pingboard API. Sign in to Pingboard, click Apps, and give it a go! We’d love to hear what you think.

What is Pingboard?

With the launch, we’ve debuted a new site for people who want to learn more about Pingboard, including a product tour and our first video! Check it out, tell us what you think, and pass it along to your friends at companies that need Pingboard.

Sync with Google Apps

Finally, we’ve made it much easier to sync Pingboard with Google Apps. Sign in and click People > Employees > Sync with Google Apps. Once the connection is setup, when someone is added to Google Apps, they’ll show up in Pingboard soon after. One more way to simplify your day!

We have great new features for you and your teams in the works. This is just the beginning.
